Bing Adds New “Linked Pages”

You may notice a new feature in Bing’s search results, “Linked Pages”. In addition to searching for information and products, people often use the search engines to find people and information on people. This may be looking for information on an author or Pastor or just trying to see what an old classmate from grade school is up to. Bing’s Linked Pages are designed to make this easier.
Bing is now providing a way for you (and others) to associate pages with your name and Bing profile. This will allow you to claim videos, social network profiles, the company you work for, articles you’ve written, and more. By linking your profile to pages, you will be able to better control what people find when they search for you.
In addition to being able to link your profile to pages, you can also inform Bing of pages that are linked to your friends. You also have the ability to remove pages from being linked to you. So, if you change jobs or one of your friends links you to page that is not really related to you, then you can fix that by removing the linked pages.
