Local Gets a Boost From Google Panda Update
Several weeks ago now Google updated it’s algorithm with what they are referring to as the “Panda” update (other’s have referred to it as the “farmer” update because of it’s impact on content farms). With this update there have been a lot of big loosers (hubpages, ezinearticles, etc.) and some winners. Surprisingly, one of those winners appears to be local businesses and organizations.
Chris Crum over at Web Pro News writes in his article, “Google Panda Update Helps Local Search Results”,
“Local-based results won big too, based on CNET’s testing. Not just local locations for big brands or local businesses, but locally-themed results.”
